Thin ice continues to be a danger in central and southern Manitoba

A thin ice advisory has been issued across Manitoba as lakes and rivers are in the early stages of Winter freeze-up.

The province warns that ice is still very thin and larger rivers still have open water in some areas. It is advised not to venture onto rivers and lakes at this time due to the danger of falling through.

Ice in central and southern Manitoba is expected to continue to be dangerous at least until mid-December.
