$45,000 in goods stolen
An employee of a shipping company in Winnipeg is in hot water after he allegedly stole about $45,000 worth of electronic devices from his employers warehouse.
Police were called in in mid-February of 2017 after the company noticed a number of had gone missing over a three month period. Police were told that the employee had allegedly stolen numerous electronic devices that were waiting to be delivered to customers. He then allegedly placed the items for sale on the internet where it is estimated that he made approximately $20,000 from the sale of the stolen goods.
Police investigators identified the suspect as an employee of the customer service department.
The 24 year old male was arrested and released on a promise to appear.
