The rebate cheque is in the mail, says MPI

Manitoba Public Insurance announced that the second rebate cheques for policyholders are in the mail.

In a post to social media the provincial insurer said “Over the holidays, our teams worked hard to get rebate cheques to eligible policyholders in the mail and on their way to you – and will continue to do so over the next few weeks.”

The average cheque is expected to be around $100 and is equal to about 6 per cent of the annual basic Autopac premium. The approved rebate is $69 million and will be split amongst 675,000 policyholders.

MPI says that it could take up to four weeks for Canada Post to deliver all the cheques. They say that if you don’t have your cheque after that time to contact your autopsic agent or the MPI Contact Centre at (204) 985-7000.
