The Pas man drowns in Clearwater Lake, say RCMP

Around 4:00 pm on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, RCMP were called to Clearwater Lake, about 25 kilometres northeast of The Pas.

Officers were told that a 77-year-old male from The pas had gone into the lake and began to struggle. A person nearby went into the water and pulled the unconscious man to shore.

Once on land first-aid was given until paramedics arrived.

The male was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead.

Police along with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner continue to investigate.
