Ten people facing charges for drug trafficking

Winnipeg Police Service has arrested and charged ten people in connection to drug trafficking.

On Sunday, May 7, 2023, police were called to a Hargrave Street apartment for the report of a fight. When officers arrived they found several people involved and also saw illegal drugs in plain sight.

Police arrested four males in their 20s, three teen males (one 13, two 15) and three adult females (two 19 and one 20).

The Gins & Gangs Unit took over the investigation and executed a search warrant at the premises. During he search officers found:

  • 30.5 grams of Crack Cocaine
  • 93 grams of powdered Cocaine
  • approximately $10,000 in Canadian Currency
  • 5 cell phones
  • trafficking paraphernalia

All ten accused were charged for their alleged involvement with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.

All suspects have been released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
