Sunday afternoon, August 27, 2017, several youths were at the skate park in the 500 block of St. Anne’s Road. Two groups of youth became friendly with each other and moved from the park to a wooded area nearby. Once in the secluded area, one of the groups attempted to rob members of the other group.
A 14-year-old male was seriously assaulted in the upper body with a machete. The attack caused significant injuries to his upper body and face. A 16-year-old was robbed of his bicycle and other property. A third victim. a 14-year-old male was able to flee.
Police say that after the group was robbed and assaulted the suspects took off.

An 18-year-old suspect was arrested around Poplarwood Avenue and St. George Road shortly after the incident.
Two other suspects in the case, both 17 were arrested early this morning, August 28, 2017, at their homes in the Glenwood and Sir John Franklin areas.
All three suspects face assault, robbery and fail to comply with sentence charges.
18-year-old Brendan James Jackson, also faces a charge of possession of a scheduled substance (Marijuana)
All of the suspects were held in custody
