A 15-year-old male and a 19-year-old female are facing charges after an adult male was shot on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
Police say that both suspects went to the victim’s residence on Dufferin Street around 8:00 am. While there they got into an argument with the victim.
During the argument, a firearm was pulled out and the victim was shot in the upper body.
Police located the two accused in the area and took them into custody.
During the arrest officers also located a modified firearm along with ammunition.
The 15-year-old has been charged for his involvement with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Use a firearm during commission of an indictable offence
- Careless use of a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Possession of a weapon
- Carry concealed weapon
- Possess loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
- Possess weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized
- Possess firearm contrary to Prohibition Order (x2)
- Discharge a restricted or prohibited firearm with intent
The 19-year-old female has been charged for her involvement with Assault with a Weapon and Use Firearm during Commission of an Indictable Offence.
Both of the accused have been detained in custody.
