A 13-year-old girl has been arrested and charged after she was allegedly involved in an unprovoked attack against two females aged 13 and 12 on Monday August 1, 2022.
Winnipeg police say that the victims were at a playground in the 200 block of McKenzie Street when they were approached by the accused and viciously attacked and robbed. The suspect then fled the area.
When officers arrived at the scene they located the victim who had been stabbed multiple times. Polic provided emergency medical care that included the use of a chest seal before paramedics arrived. The teen was taken to hospital in unstable condition but since upgraded to stable.
Police have charged the suspect for her alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault, two counts of Robbery, two counts of Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Assault Peace Officer.
She was detained in custody.
