Police investigating the stabbing at a bush party near Wilkes Avenue and Community Row on July 9, 2022, have arrested and charged a 19-year-old male in connection to the incident.
The 18-year-old victim suffered significant injuries in the attack and would likely not have survived had police not located him and provided emergency medical care.
Police and fire responders carried the teen more than a kilometre out of the thick bush to a waiting ambulance. He was transported to hospital in critical condition.
The accused was arrested on Monday, July 18 and has been charged for his alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault.
He was released on an Undertaking say police.
