Winnipeg Police have charged a 19-year-old male with a number of firearm-related offences after a 16-year-old female was shot on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
According to police the female was shot in the lower body after the accused accidentally discharged a firearm.
The female was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
Ahmed Immad Patience of Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order, Pointing a Firearm, Careless Use of Firearm, Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 and two counts of Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking.
He remains in custody.
