A 15-year-old girl is recovering in hospital after she was run over by a semi-truck on Wednesday, May 31, 2023.
According to police, the girl was riding her bike in the area of Logan Avenue and Isabel Street when she lost control and fell off her bike. The lane she fell into was occupied by a semi and she was run over by the rear tires of the semi-trailer.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and located the teen suffering from upper-body injuries. She was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
Winnipeg Police Service Traffic Division is investigating the incident.
