Winnipeg Police Service has arrested and charged a 17-year-old male in connection to the fatal stabbing of a 14-year-old female on Friday, December 15, 2023.
Investigators say that the victim had been in the company of two females and a male who were known to her. An argument between the male and the victim erupted and the male allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing.
The suspect was identified by officers and taken into custody near Provencher Boulevard and Des Meurons Street.
The accused has been charged with Second Degree Murder. He is currently in custody.
