RCMP has arrested and charged a 13-year-old male in connection to two arsons in the community.
On March 22, 2021, emergency crews responded to a fire in a garbage bin behind a community club on Garrioch Park Drive. Although there was no significant damage officers continued to investigate.
Just over a month later on April 29, crews responded to another fire at the community club. This time the building was involved and the fire destroyed the structure.
Earlier today officers located the suspect in both fires and placed him under arrest.
The teen was charged for his alleged involvement with Break and Enter and two counts of Arson. He was released and is scheduled to appear in court in July.
Police continue the investigation.
