Winnipeg Police have a 17-year-old Teulon teen in custody after he allegedly targeted and robbed Young Food Mart in the 100 block of Young Street on five separate occasions between the end of July and September 11, 2019.

Police say that during the robberies the suspect committed several assaults and in one robbery pointed a firearm at a store employee.

Investigators have linked the suspect to a residential break-in as well as a theft from a Winnipeg pawn shop.

The teen is facing multiple charges including Armed Robbery Using a Firearm, Carry Concealed Weapon, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Point Firearm, Possess Weapon, Theft Under $5,000, Assault, Break and Enter With Intent and Assault with a Weapon.

He was detained in custody.
