A 16-year-old youth is in custody after it is alleged he stole more than $19,000 worth of liquor this past summer.
Police say that between the middle of June and the middle of September the male went to various Liquor Mart stores around the city of Winnipeg. He would then select several bottles of liquor and walk out without paying.

According to investigators, the youth verbally threatened an employee at one of the Liquor Marts in a July 4, 2018 incident.
On Monday, October 8, 2018, the suspect was taken into custody in the 400 block of Banning Street
