A 13-year-old boy is in hospital recovering from being shot and assaulted on Boyd Avenue early Wednesday morning, July 27, 2022.
Police say they responded to the report of a shooting in the 500 block around 1:55 am. When officers arrived they located the victim and immediately began providing emergency medical care. The teen was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.
Police believe that a group of people confronted the teen in the area, assaulted and shot him.
