RCMP have arrested a 13-year-old male in connection to the stabbing of 15-year-old male on Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation.
Police say they were called to a residence in the community on October 9, 2021, and found the victim suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to the nursing station but was transported to a Winnipeg hospital for treatment.
Police arrested the suspect at the scene and charged him for his alleged involvement with Assault with a Weapon. The accused was released from custody and will appear in court in the near future.
Police say the victim has been released from hospital.
The investigation continues.
