Winnipeg police have arrested and charged a 17-year-old male for allegedly committing indecent acts in front of children.

Police say that around 1:24 pm on March 15, 2023, the suspect was driving in the 200 block of Church Street when he committed an indecent act in front of two preteen-aged safety patrollers.

Officers also learned that prior to that incident the male had allegedly committed another indecent act in front of a youth walking in the 400 block of Church Street.

Officers patrolling the area located the vehicle the suspect was in at approximately 2:15 pm near Atlantic Avenue and McGregor Street. The suspect was taken into custody.

The 17-year-old was charged for his alleged involvement with three counts of Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16.

He was released with conditions as mandated by the criminal code.
