Teachers can soon get vaccinated for COVID-19 in North Dakota

The Manitoba government has entered into an agreement with the State of North Dakota that will allow Manitoba teachers to cross the border to get the COVID-19 shot.

Similar to the program currently underway with truckers, teachers and educators will be able to cross the border, get immunized, then immediately return to the province.

Premier Brian Pallister announced the agreement during a Thursday media briefing. Pallister said that details are still being worked out but that it is important to protect our education system.

Currently, education workers, 40 and over are eligible to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine through pharmacies and medical clinics. Teachers over the age of 18 working in high-risk areas are also eligible.
