Around 1:30 am Tuesday morning, December 11, 2018, Winnipeg police pulled over a cab and noticed the pistol-grip of a firearm under the passenger seat.
The weapon turned out to be a loaded .22 calibre improvised firearm. The passenger was arrested and a search of him resulted in police finding 16 grams of cocaine and two rounds of ammunition.
18-year-old Brock Bentley Mann from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Transport Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
- Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance by Judge/Justice (x5)
He was detained in custody.
