Winnipeg Police are investigating the death of a Duffy’s Taxi driver on Thursday March 19, 2020.
Police say they were alerted to a cab driver in distress around 5:25 am in the 500 block of Burrows Avenue.
When officers arrived they found the cab in the middle of the street and the driver in critical condition. He had been seriously assaulted.
The cabbie was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
His death is the eighth homicide this year in Winnipeg.
The WPS Homicide Unit is investigating the case and are asking anyone with information that might help with the investigation to contact them. Homicide detectives can be reached at 204-986-6508.
