A 44-year-old Winnipeg man and a 45-year-old man from the RM of Bifrost are facing drug and property related charges after police noticed a suspicious vehicle parked off Highway 7 on November 8, 2023.

According to RCMP officers spotted the vehicle around 1:00 am near Highway 67 and found the two men sleeping inside. The driver opened his door and the officer spotted drug paraphernalia inside. Both men were placed under arrest.

A search of the vehicle found about 10 grams of meth, ammunition and a number of tools that had been taken in a recent theft.

Jaida Nash, 45, from the RM of Bifrost is facing charges for his alleged involvement of Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply.

Jeremy Peebles, 44, from Winnipeg is facing charges for his alleged involvement of Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply x4.

Both men have been released from custody with release orders.

RCMP continue to investigate.
