Winnipeg Police are looking for a suspicious male after they received a report that the man attempted to abduct a woman earlier Thursday morning, August 17, 2017.
It happened around 5:30 am. The 36-year-old woman was walking in the area of St. Anne’s Road and Alpine Avenue when an older model dark blue van pulled up. The male passenger offered the woman a ride but when she refused he grabbed her arm and ordered her into the vehicle. At that point, a pedestrian walked by and the woman was let go as the van sped off.
Police say the suspect is described as male, Indigenous looking, about 35 years old. He stands approximately 5’9″ tall with an average build, medium length shaggy dark hair, dark eyes and had a pock marked face without facial hair.
