Winnipeg Police are looking for a suspicious person who approached two female children around 9:00 am on Monday February 11, 2019.

According to investigators a 9-year-old girl and her 7 year-old sister were walking in the 2200 block of Burrows Avenue when a man stopped his car, got out and approached the pair.

The man did not speak to the youth but he made a motion to grab the 9-year-old. The two girls ran away to a safe location nearby. Neither girl was injured during the incident.

Police say the man was last seen driving along Burrows towards Keewatin Street.

The man is described as Indigenous in his 30s or 40s, under 5’9″ tall with a thin build and dark shoulder length hair. He was wearing a dark jacket, grey touque and jeans.
