Winnipeg police have released limited information about a suspicious incident that happened earlier this morning.
Police say that around 9:30 am Sunday, November 12, 2017, a 17-year-old girl was walking in the 400 block of Hamilton Avenue when she was approached by a vehicle. The car stopped just ahead of her and the driver asked the girl if she wanted a ride. When she replied no he got out of the car closed his door and again asked her if she was sure she didn’t want a ride.

The female ran away and reported the incident to police.

Police would like to talk to the man. He is described as East Indian in appearance, 40 years old with light brown skin. He has a medium build and is about 5’9″ tall. He has black hair and a short beard. He was wearing a black jacket.
The car is described as an older 4-door grey colour with a “boxy” design, black handles and trim.
Police continue to investigate.
