Winnipeg Police have released more information regarding the suspicious death on Thursday April 18, 2019.
Police now say that the male found near the rail line in the 1000 block of Selkirk Avenue is 53-year-old Joselito Fernandez from Winnipeg.
Fernandez had been shot and was taken to hospital in critical condition but was pronounced dead in hospital.
Homicide investigators are asking for help from the public. Specifically, officers are looking for anyone who may have access to surveillance video or who may have heard or seen something to call them at 204-986-6508.
