Winnipeg Police Service has arrested and charged three suspects with weapons and drug offences following an investigation that began as an assault call.
On Friday December 1, 2023, officers were called to a residence in the 100 block of Mira Gate. Air1 attended and spotted a female victim getting into a vehicle and driving away. The air unit directed ground officers to the vehicle near North Point Boulevard and McPhillips Street where they located the injured female. She was taken to hospital in stable condition with an upper-body injury.
Officers searched the vehicle and found multiple loaded handguns, 1.35 kilograms of cocaine, $21,000 in cash, scales and packaging materials.
As Air1 returned to the Mira Gate residence they watched a man throwing what turned out to be a firearm from a balcony in to a nearby parking lot. Officers recovered the sawed-off rifle and arrested the male suspect along with a second adult female inside the residence.
A search of the residence uncovered score sheets, used packaging materials, cell phones, and approximately 52 grams of cocaine.
Ryheem William Hudson, 25, of Winnipeg, was charged for his alleged involvement with multiple weapons and firearms-related offences, Possession of a Scheduled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Failure to Comply with Conditions of Release Order, and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.
Rosalie Amber Kehler-Datuin, 23, of Winnipeg, was charged for her alleged involvement with multiple weapons and firearms-related offences, Possession of a Scheduled Substance (Cocaine), and Failure to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking.
Kyly Angel Sage Lagimodiere, 19, of Winnipeg, was charged for her alleged involvement with multiple weapons and firearms-related offences, Possession of a Scheduled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, and Failure to Comply with Conditions of Release Order.
All three suspects have been detained in custody, according to police.
