The power of social media helps capture two suspects in break-in

After a pharmacy on Main Street in Roblin, Manitoba was broken into Sunday evening, September 8, 2019, the owner took to social media and posted photos of the suspects.

Police say it happened around 7:15 pm and was captured on surveillance video. The suspects gained entry by forcing a locked door. While inside the business they stole a quantity of opioids.

After seeing the social media posts a person in Yorkton Saskatchewan called police after recognizing the suspects.

RCMP in Yorkton arrested a 49-year-old male from Midland, Ontario and a 42-year-old female from Swan River, Manitoba.

They have been charged with Break and Enter, Possession of a Schedule I substance (Opiod), Possession of Stolen Property and Possession of a Weapon for their alleged involvement.

RCMP continue to investigate.
