RCMP are looking for a suspected arsonist after multiple fires were set in Dauphin over a nine hour period beginning on August 1, 2022.
Investigators say that officers were called to a fire alarm around 11:45 pm at a business on 3rd Avenue NE. Smoke was coming from the building when police arrived and officers were able to quickly put it out before it could spread.
Less than 90 minutes later a vehicle fire was reported on 3rd Avenue SE followed by another vehicle fire just after 6:00 am in the 500 block of Main Street. At 8:15 am on 3rd Avenue NW a fourth fire was attempted to be set.
No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
RCMP were able to gather surveillance footage from the area and they are looking for the suspect.
