Winnipeg Police need help in locating a suspect in a February 24, 2018, attack on a female in the area of Magnus Avenue between Chudley Street and Buller Avenue.
Police say the adult female was hit repeatedly with a machete around 6:15 am. The assault caused the victim to fall to the ground where she was kicked in the head, face and upper body. The suspect then hit her again with the machete.
Police are looking for Vincent Rupert Thompson a 29 year old male. He is described as 6′ tall, about 170 pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes.
He is wanted for Aggravated Assault.
Investigators warn that he is not to be approached if spotted but advise to call them immediately.
