Suspect wanted in Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation shooting

RCMP from Swan River are investigating a shooting that happened in the early morning hours of March 6, 2022, at a home on Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation.

Police say that two people were in the home when an adult male who was known to them showed up at the door. The male entered the residence and an argument occurred which resulted in the male shooting a 40-year-old male victim.

Investigators report that there were no other injuries and that the suspect fled in a small blue car.

Officers have identified the suspect as 28-year-old Stacey Stevens of Swan River. A warrant has been issued for Attempt Murder, Discharge Firearm with Intent and Weapons Possession contrary to Order.

RCMP warn that Stevens is considered armed and dangerous and must not be approached.
