23-year-old Ethan Markus Beaulieu is wanted by Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) in connection to a shooting on Sandy Bay First Nation on Friday, January 21, 2022.
According to police they received a report that a male had been shot in the community around 3:05 pm near the intersection of Main Road and Ridge Road. The victim was located and transported to hospital where he underwent immediate surgery.
Police say the victim got into a verbal argument with two males. The altercation escalated and the victim was sprayed with bear spray and then shot. Officers were able to identify one suspect who they say is known to the victim.

A warrant of arrest has been issued and Beaulieu has been charged with multiple offences including:
- Discharge firearm with intent
- Assault with a weapon
- Possession of a firearm contrary to an order
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm knowingly
- two counts of Fail to comply with conditions of a release order
Beaulieu is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
