RCMP are looking for a 32-year-old male who is wanted in connection to a shooting in Portage la Prairie on Wednesday, November 24, 2021.
Investigators say that around 7:50 am a female was injured when a she was shot at from another vehicle while she was the passenger in an SUV that was travelling along 6th Street.
The 25-year-old victim was taken to hospital, treated and released. The female driver go the SUV was not injured.
The vehicle where the shot came from fled the area with two males inside.
Police believe that the people in both vehicles knew each other and the incident was not random.
RCMP are looking for Kalsey Houle for his alleged involvement in the incident. Houle has been charged with Discharge Firearm with Intent, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, Assault With a Weapon, and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose.
RCMP have a warrant for Houle’s arrest. He is described as Indigenous, 5’8” tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to reside in Brandon, Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation, and Winnipeg.
