Suspect wanted in Gimli robbery

RCMP are looking for a male suspect who allegedly robbed a 1st Avenue business in Gimli on November 15, 2022.

According to police, the incident happened around 9:45 pm. The suspect entered a store with a machete in hand, threatened an employee, stole some items then left. A few minutes later the suspect returned and demanded cash. He left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers are looking for the male suspect believed to be between 35 and 45 years old. At the time of the robbery his face was covered, he was wearing sunglasses, a bright yellow/green hoodie with “ZOO YORK” on the front and was carrying a tan backpack.
