Police in Winnipeg are searching for a man wanted in connection to a stabbing on November 29, 2023.
Police say that around 8:45 pm officers responded to a store in the 600 block of Notre Dame Avenue following the stabbing of an employee.
When officers arrived they located an injured female and immediately provided emergency medical care. Police applied a chest seal on the victim while waiting for paramedics. the victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
According to police the male suspect entered the store, took several items then exited without paying. The suspect confronted the female victim and stabbed her in the upper body.
The suspect is described as:
- White male
- 6’0” tall
- Thin build
- Mid to late twenties
- Medium length hair
- Glasses
- wearing a dark grey hoodie and blue puffy vest
