Winnipeg Police have released a composite sketch of the suspect wanted in the attack on a 42-year-old Winnipeg man who was assaulted on October 16, 2018.
The attack happened around 9:30 pm near William Avenue and King Street. The victim had been walking in the area when the suspect came up from behind and viciously attacked him without uttering a word. Police said at the time they did not know what motivated the attack.
Investigators have released a composite sketch of the suspect and say they believe he is in his late 30s to early 40s. He is described as Indigenous or Hispanic in appearance, darker complexion, dark eyes, 5’11”-6’0″ in height, slender build, sunken/noticeable cheekbones with black straight shiny hair that was shoulder length and curled at the bottom.
Police also released a still image from a surveillance video of a “person of interest” who was wearing a blue or purple hoodie with the word CANADA written on it.
