A 29-year-old female was arrested and charged after she was allegedly involved in a residential break-in attempt in the 1300 block of Raleigh Street early Sunday, October 22, 2023.

Police say the suspect had forcibly entered the victim’s home by kicking in the front door following an earlier verbal dispute. The victim stabbe the suspect in the upper-body to prevent further entry to the home.

When officers arrived they found the suspect outside the home and provided emergency medical care until paramedics arrived. She was taken to hospital and treated for her injury.

The suspect has been charged with Break & Enter with Intent – Dwelling House for her alleged involvement. She was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code of Canada.
