Man points gun at passing motorist and pedestrians

A 20-year-old male was arrested and charged on Friday March 29, 2019 after he allegedly pointed a gun at a motorist near Graham Avenue and Donald Street.

Police say that the suspect was taking the gun in and out of his pocket and pointing it at buildings, people and his own head as he continued to walk in the area.

Officers located the male in the 200 block of Notre Dame and placed him in custody. A search revealed that the weapon was a Co2 handgun. Police also seized ammunition for the firearm.

James Alexander MacDonald has been charged for his alleged involvement with:

  • Possess Weapon
  • Pointing a Firearm
  • Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Common Nuisance – To Public Safety or Property
  • Use of Firearm During Commission of an Indictable Offence
  • Carry Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition
