Winnipeg police have charged a suspect linked to two stabbings and a South Point Douglas homicide.
On May 2, 2023, police began an investigation into the stabbing of a male after he was found by members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service near Sargent Avenue and Furby Street around 6:20 pm. The WFPS had been in the area on an unrelated call.
The victim was taken to hospital with upper-body stab wounds but refused to cooperate with investigators. Officers identified and went to a residence that was involved in the incident in the 500 block of Furby Street. A man was arrested after a brief use-of-force encounter.
Investigators learned that the accused was also allegedly involved in a Henry Street stabbing on April 26 and the suspicious death of a man in the South Point Douglas area.
Investigators arrested and charged the accused, who was already in custody, for the additional incidents.
23-year-old Tyrus Mann has been charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Assault a Peace Officer, Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition and Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking.
He remains in custody.

- Unknown ethnicity
- Approximately 6’ in height
- No upper teeth
- Will have undergone previous medical facial procedure
