Leah Carol Clifton, wanted for her alleged involvement in two murders, was arrested by police on June 24, 2022, at a home in the 200 block of Spence Street.
Clifton had bee the subject of multiple warrants for the killing of Heather Beardy on February 2, 2022 and Doris Trout on May 19, 2022. Although police say that the murders are unrelated the two victims and Clifton were known to each other. All three were involved in the drug subculture.
Clifton was charged with two counts of Second Degree Murder and detained in custody.
