The suspect in an armed robbery that happened on September 18, 2021, is in custody facing multiple charges.
Police said at the time that two adult males and an adult female were walking along Kildare Avenue East when they were robbed at gunpoint by an unknown male. The suspect made off with a number of personal belongings as he fled on foot. The victims were not injured and contacted police from a nearby gas bar.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
On October 7, 2021, patrol officers located the suspect at a residence in the Kildare Redonda neighbourhood.
Kyle Charles Bickford, 31, has been charged for his alleged involvement with three counts of Armed Robbery using a firearm, Possession of a Restricted Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order and three counts of Fail to Comply with Conditions of Release Order.
Bickford was detained in custody.
