Winnipeg Police have arrested a 19-year-old male in connection to a triple shooting at a Portage Avenue lounge on August 1, 2020.
Just after 1:00 am police were called to the lounge after receiving reports of shots fired. Three adult victims were located suffering from gunshot wounds. They taken to hospital in critical condition.
Investigators identified a suspect and an arrest warrant was issued for Carson Ray Mario McIvor.
McIvor was able to evade police and hide out for months.
On February 9, 2021, police located his hiding place and with help from the Tactical Support Unit raided an airport area hotel.
Police say that McIvor attempted to evade police once more by smashing out a hotel window to escape but he was taken into custody without injury.
McIvor was charged for his alleged involvement with 15 firearms and assault-related charges and detained in custody.
