A 30-year-old male is facing a number of charges after he allegedly broke into a financial institution in Portage la Prairie.
Police say that they responded to an alarm at the business just before 3:00 am this morning, December 7, 2021. Officers surrounded the building and noted that all the doors were secure but a person was seen running down the hallway inside the building.
RCMP officers securing the rear of the building noticed person on the roof and watched him descend a ladder a few businesses over.
Police placed the male under arrest without incident.
Officers determined that the male had broken into the business through the roof.
Kiefer Beaulieu has been charged for his alleged involvement with Breaking and Entering with Intent to Commit, Possession of Break-in Instruments, three counts of Failing to Comply and Mischief.
He was detained in custody.
