Suspect holds female patron at knifepoint prior to arrest

A 37-year-old male is facing more than two dozen charges after holding staff and patrons at knifepoint in a Balmoral Street business early Saturday morning, MArch 26, 2022.

Officers were called to the business around 1:15 am. When they arrived on the scene the male suspect grabbed a woman in the business and placed a knife to her throat, using her as a human shield.

Police entered the business and used a taser on the suspect before placing him in custody.

Robert William Moore has been charged for his alleged involvement with ten counts of Forcible Confinement, ten counts of Assault with a Weapon, two counts of Possession of a Weapon, Resist Peace Officer, Robbery and Possession of a Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine

Moore was detained in custody.
