Winnipeg Police have a 21-year-old suspect in custody after he allegedly stabbed a man multiple times in the upper body.
Police were alerted to the stabbing on Martin Avenue East around 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.
Investigators say the suspect and victim lived in the same residence and had gotten into an argument. The disagreement escalated to the point that the victim was stabbed several times.
Police say the accused then fled the scene.
The victim was located and taken to hospital in critical condition but has been upgraded too stable.
Officers patrolling in the area of the stabbing located the suspect and placed him under arrest.
Bradley Joshua Sharkey from Winnipeg has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon for his alleged involvement.
He was detained in custody.
