Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 21-year-old male in connection to the killing of 26-year-old Joshua Pashe on September 26, 2021.
Police say that Pashe was shot outside a Seven Eleven on Salter Street near Flora Avenue around 12:30 am. He was taken to hospital in critical condition but soon died from his injuries.
Investigators identified a suspect in the case and a Canada-wide warrant was issued for his arrest. The suspect was identified as Dawson Kenliegh McKay.
On December 26, 2021 officers searching for McKay located him attempting to hide in an apartment complex in the Alpine Place neighbourhood. He was taken into custody.
McKay is facing charges for his alleged involvement of Second Degree Murder. He was detained in custody.
