Police arrest suspect in Manitoba Avenue murder

Winnipeg Police investigators have arrested a 34-year-old male in connection to the killing of a 63-year-old male.

On Saturday, June 1, 2019 emergency crews responded to a fire in a two and a half storey multi-unit residence on Manitoba Avenue. Two people were able to evacuate the building before firefighters arrived to heavy flames and smoke.

Hubert Wilson McKay was found dead inside the home.

Police have arrested and charged William Joseph Campbell for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder and Arson with Disregard for Human Life.

He was detained in custody.
