Winnipeg police have arrested and charged a 16-year-old male in connection to an incident in November that resulted in a teen being pushed into traffic.
Police said at the time that a suspect charged at two teens walking on the sidewalk along Ness Avenue near Sturgeon Heights Collegiate. a 16-year-old teen was shoved into traffic and hit by a semi-truck then projected towards a pickup. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and was later upgraded to stable.
As the investigation unfolded police received information from multiple people that helped identify a suspect.
On November 30, 2021, investigators arrested and charged the suspect with assault-related charges. He was released on an undertaking as is mandated by the criminal code.
