Super site eligibility drops to 45-years-old

Eligibility to be immunized at a super site or pop-up clinic has expanded to include individuals 45-years-old and older and First Nation people 18 and over.

Those who are 18 and older who live or work in specific jobs in identified priority communities continue to be eligible to be vaccinated at super sites and pop-up clinics.

The current priority communities are:

  • Prairie Mountain Health – Brandon East End and Brandon Downtown;
  • Winnipeg Regional Health Authority – Inkster West, Fort Garry South, Seven Oaks West, Downtown East, Point Douglas South, Inkster East, Point Douglas North, Downtown West, River East South, St. Vital North and Seven Oaks East; and
  • Interlake–Eastern Regional Health Authority – Powerview-Pine Falls. 

All adults who live or work in the Northern Regional Health Authority including those in Churchill are also eligible.

Eligibility to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine is open to those 40 and older and aged 30 to 39 with priority health conditions.

The province noted that they expect eligibility to be open to everyone over the age of 18 by May 21.

Second -dose appointments will open for booking on May 22 say the province.
