RCMP and the Office of the Fire Commissioner are investigating a fire in an abandoned church in the RM of Alonsa on Tuesday afternoon, December 7, 2021.

When emergency crews arrived the church was fully involved with smoke and flames coming from the structure. Firefighters from the Rorketon Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services battled the blaze but the building was a total loss. It is believed no one was in the building at the time of the blaze.
